Its scope encompasses all legitimate branches of agriculture and allied agricultural sciences, including agronomy, crop science, horticulture, soil science, plant nutrition, plant breeding and genetics, plant protection, seed science, agricultural microbiology, biotechnology, agricultural engineering, food and post-harvest sciences, agricultural economics, extension, rural development, forestry, agroforestry, livestock, dairy, poultry, fisheries and aquaculture. IJMAST also encourages research in precision and digital agriculture, artificial intelligence, machine learning, IoT, sensors, drones, remote sensing, GIS, robotics, automation and smart farming.
The journal further welcomes studies addressing sustainable and climate-smart agriculture, soil and water management, agroecology, biodiversity, natural-resource conservation, climate resilience and resource-use efficiency. Its scope includes fundamental, applied, field-based, laboratory, technological, analytical, socio-economic and policy-oriented research.
